Aroma: fresh, light, minty, clean, milder than peppermint.

Uses: In aromatherapy: refreshes, relieves stress, helps to concentrate. Used in aroma lamps, to freshen the rooms, in the sauna (in body scrubs, sauna honey). Traditionally has been used to treat wounds and infections (is anti-inflammatory and speeds up the recovering process). Because it contains menthol it’s used as a cooling and relaxing antispasmodic agent to soothe muscle cramps and tensions. Also relieves digestion problems and headaches. Acts as a febrifuge (reduces fever). Provides relief from uneasiness and insomnia, promotes good blood circulation. Widely used in toothpaste.

Insecticide – keeps away mosquitoes, ants and other bugs.

Blends well with: lavender, eucalyptus, rosemary, ylang-ylang.
