Yes. With any new natural product we recommend a small patch test, especially if you have sensitive or allergy-prone skin.
How to use
- Remove the cap and, with your fingers, push the stick up a few millimetres from the bottom of the tube. If the stick will not move in the tube, hold it in your hand and warm it slightly, kneading around the stick with your fingers. This way it warms loose from the sides and starts to slide. If the stick tends to sink back into the tube, hold your fingers against the bottom.
- Always apply the deodorant to clean, washed and dry skin. Place the stick on the warm skin for a few seconds so that it can soften, then apply it to the underarm with a couple of strokes. Don’t forget that less is more – a thicker layer does not mean longer protection.
- Let the deodorant dry and absorb for a couple of minutes before dressing. Then you are ready to carry on with your day.

The deodorant\’s scent is very nice, but it only protects against sweat odour for half a day. You\’d definitely have to reapply in between so no bad odour develops. Wouldn\’t recommend it to those who sweat a lot or do a lot of exercise. It\’s a bit hard to apply straight from the tube to the skin, you have to rub it in nicely with your fingers.

This deodorant is honestly one of the best-scented deodorants I\’ve ever used – fresh, slightly sour but at the same time with a sweet scent. I once had the opinion that natural and eco deodorants definitely don\’t work as well as ordinary strong deodorants and antiperspirants bought from the grocery store. But that turned out to be a completely wrong opinion; since I bought the Nurme natural deodorant my opinion has changed drastically, with this deodorant I feel absolutely no sweat odour throughout the day, even after my evening workout the sweat odour is barely noticeable. Before, I had to apply my old deodorant even before a workout and overall it didn\’t actually keep sweat odour away very well, even though the packaging said it ensures up to 72h of freshness. The Nurme deodorant keeps my armpits dry and doesn\’t stain my white clothes at all (my previous deodorant stained the armpits on white clothes even though it said it leaves no stains). I\’m glad such a deodorant exists that\’s 100% natural and contains no harmful chemicals while still fulfilling its function.

I felt some physical and emotional discomfort with deodorants bought from the shop before (stains, too strong a scent, bad formula, harmful to the body) and was looking for a suitable natural deodorant that would completely replace the shop ones. This is the best product I\’ve found!!! Since the difference between a natural and a shop deodorant is big, the body takes time to get used to it. At first you really do need to apply deodorant several times a day (sweat odour develops), but for me that\’s not inconvenient. At first I was a bit sceptical that it\’s tedious to find time mid-day to apply deodorant and now there\’s one more thing to carry along, but if you yourself want better for your body, then it\’s actually not tedious at all! Rather I\’m grateful to myself for deciding in favour of the natural choice and somehow it\’s easier for the body to be. From my experience the Nurme deodorant doesn\’t leave stains either! The way of using it is different and it asks for more time than a shop deodorant, but again, I got used to it quickly! The packaging is rather interesting and, kept well, it also stays intact and tidy. And of course also a wonderful scent! I already placed a new order after the first one, because I plan to stay using it longer. Very, very much recommend! 🙂

The packaging is such that with repeated use product collects around the cap and then needs cleaning – too tight around it or something. But the biggest downside for me is that the product doesn\’t go with white clothes – it ruined the armpits on a shirt and it no longer comes clean in the wash.

I bought a deodorant out of curiosity to see for myself whether it\’s good or mediocre. The positive is the scent, I like it a lot. Protection against sweat is medium, you have to apply it repeatedly during the day. It helps to rub the deodorant in, otherwise it leaves a layer. In the second week the casing started to fall apart – if you take the cap off tightly and hold the bottom part and pull the cap, the bottom part also slides down. To apply the deodorant you then have to push the bottom part back up and that\’s not convenient. For comparison, while on a trip I bought another natural deodorant with similar packaging, Alterra. A smaller deodorant but the price comes out about the same per gram. The packaging cap is as long as the deodorant casing, slides off more smoothly, doesn\’t need pulling and the deodorant really protected as promised. So you could think a bit more about improving the product. Maybe if the deodorant were smaller it would be easier to handle too.
