Shea butter is known for its nourishing and protective properties, but its solid and heavy texture is not always the most convenient. During fractionation, the more liquid and lighter fractions are separated from the shea butter, yielding shea oil – a versatile care oil for both the skin and hair.

It is especially beneficial for extremely dry skin, providing intensive moisture and protection. The oleic acid in shea oil softens the skin and makes it elastic, while linoleic and palmitic acid strengthen the skin’s protective barrier and help maintain moisture.

How to use

On the skin:
Apply a small amount of shea oil to clean skin and massage gently in. Suitable for daily use on the face, body and especially dry areas (elbows, knees, heels). You will achieve the best result by using the oil on damp skin after washing.

On the hair:

  • On the hair ends: apply a few drops of oil to dry or damp ends to reduce splitting and add shine.
  • For scalp care: massage a small amount of oil into the scalp, leave to work for 20–30 minutes and then wash out with shampoo. Regular use helps reduce dryness and the tight feeling of the scalp.

NB! Before using the product, make sure you are not allergic to any of its ingredients. Discontinue use if skin irritation occurs.

    The oil really does help with atopic dermatitis. Within a week we got our child\’s skin smooth and clean, the oil helps better than base creams bought from the pharmacy. In addition the child\’s skin became very soft, we never achieved such a result with base creams. The oil does have some scent and to my mind it\’s not at all subtle or pleasant. That\’s why we only use it in the evenings, in the daytime I wouldn\’t want to feel that scent on myself or have it stay on clothes. The oil is also very thick, you have to set aside time to rub it in. But since the effect is just so good, we put up with the scent and the tedious application.

    When the cold comes, rashes appear on the inner sides of my forearms, mainly below the elbow, that can be up to 15-20 cm long and 5-10 cm wide. I\’ve only seen a doctor once, when some medication was prescribed and it didn\’t help. Over the years the rash worsened and it felt like there was no solution. Recently an acquaintance recommended your shea oil and after applying the oil three times the rash was gone. It\’s now been several weeks since the last application and the skin is still soft and smooth and it\’s as if the problem never existed 🙂 An excellent product. Thank you! Recommend!

    All this hype, I expected a very good product, but I was very disappointed. I\’ve otherwise used unrefined shea butter and that has really moisturised, I was looking for a more convenient solution. This oil is indeed more convenient, but the effect is relatively non-existent, plus the absorption is for some reason slower. If I smear myself in the evening (and don\’t apply a thick layer) and watch a couple of hours of a series, then I go to bed still just as oily. Yet it hasn\’t helped me with rough legs, sole skin (I also use the Nurme exfoliating foot soap a few times a week) or even moisturised my forearms. It moisturises the hands a bit maybe, but any hand cream does that without leaving you oily for a long time. For some reason I don\’t believe I\’m the only one with such an experience, all the more so since I\’m not a fussy consumer at all and my skin has been used to only completely clean products for over 15 years. We\’ll see how long this comment is kept here.

    I have skin problems on my hands related to dryness/irritation eczema. With hand eczema it\’s typical that the skin dries out, micro-cracks form, and rubbing and water deepen the damage, with inflammation flaring up again. I\’m a hobby gardener and you can imagine how much strain my hands are under daily working in the garden right now. Shea oil has helped, but success often depends on consistency. Once cracks have formed it\’s better to apply it at least after every hand wash, and definitely before bed. Overnight care gives the biggest change. By using shea consistently I got my hands soft and the cracks that had formed are receding. I\’m extremely grateful and happy. 🩷
