IN FOLK MEDICINE
Tea tree essential oil is also valued as a healer of illnesses. It strengthens the immune system, fights infections and provides relief from the symptoms caused by colds. If one of the family members has fallen ill, spray tea tree essential oil into the air. It purifies the air, repels viruses and helps prevent the other family members from getting ill. In case of a cold you can also make a steam bath by dripping tea tree oil into boiled water and inhaling the steam for 10 minutes.
IN SKINCARE
Since tea tree oil is anti-inflammatory, it also works well for problem facial skin and acne. Apply a couple of drops with your fingertip directly to the spots and they will start to fade. In summer you can also apply tea tree oil to mosquito bites.
Tea tree oil helps the healing of micro-wounds and relieves sunburn. You can read more about the use of essential oils HERE.
