This handmade solid shampoo combines the moisturising properties of coconut oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil and shea butter. The shampoo lathers richly, removes dirt and excess sebum, but preserves the hair’s natural moisture. Lemongrass helps support the hair’s natural strength and shine. Who is the solid shampoo with lemongrass for:

- Sweet almond oil – Rich in vitamin E and fatty acids that nourish and smooth the hair without weighing it down. Almond oil helps reduce dryness and gives the hair a silky feel.
- Shea butter – Contains vitamins A and E that help strengthen the hair structure and soothe the scalp. Shea butter moisturises deeply, leaving the hair elastic and smooth.
- Olive oil – Nourishes and protects the hair against environmental effects. Helps maintain the hair’s moisture and gives it a natural shine.
- Coconut oil – Cleanses gently, forming a rich natural lather, and helps maintain the hair’s moisture balance. Its composition supports the scalp’s natural microbiome.
All Nurme bar soaps are made from natural components using the cold-process method. To achieve the highest quality, we cure the bar soaps at the right temperature for at least 30 days. The longer a bar soap cures, the more it dries and loses weight. The weight on the packaging is the net value in grams at the moment of packing, i.e. after 30 days of curing. How to use
Moisten your hair and the shampoo bar under warm water. Rub the shampoo directly into your hair or work up a lather in your hands and apply it to your hair. Massage the scalp gently, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat the procedure if needed. Keep the shampoo in a dry soap dish between uses to extend its life. For the best result, use together with a Nurme conditioner.

I\’ve used solid shampoos before and the experience with them hasn\’t been the best. In general my hair is stubborn anyway and even with most liquid products I have to wash every other day. So my expectations were low. This wonderful yellow block got my head squeaky clean, the hair fluffy and gave several days of freedom from hair washing. Unbelievable! After use I also didn\’t feel the need to apply conditioner. If this now wasn\’t a one-time miracle, then my heart is won.

Lathers and cleanses well. After washing I rinse my head with a mix of water and apple cider vinegar (2 cups : 1/2 cup) so the hair doesn\’t stay rough (this has to be rinsed out carefully).

I had a bad experience – the shampoo left my head very greasy, I then washed my head several more times with another soap and then another shampoo, but still a bit greasy. Maybe it just doesn\’t suit me and my hair type. I don\’t know whose idea it was to make coconut and olive oil the main ingredients of a shampoo, shouldn\’t the point of a shampoo be to dissolve and wash off the sebum that forms on the hair? I rather use this soap for body and face care. I wouldn\’t recommend it to someone with a fast-paced lifestyle who needs to get their hair clean quickly and problem-free. Plus points of course for the plastic-free packaging.

The scent is good and it\’s also super that the product is plastic-free, but such a low rating comes from the fact that it absolutely did not get my hair clean. Previously I used Nurme castor oil and avocado oil, so I assumed maybe that\’s why it didn\’t cleanse my hair on the first wash (on the first wash I washed twice!) and so I washed again a second time… and a third time… and a FOURTH and FIFTH time. Each time rinsing through and adding shampoo again. By the end of the fifth time I decided I can\’t continue like this and switched to a completely different brand\’s shampoo, which got my hair clean right away.

I don\’t know what it depends on, who this shampoo works for and who not (water hardness, pressure, hair type?), but it left my hair very sticky, heavy and soapy. Over several weeks I really tried all the options for applying the shampoo to the hair, rinsed long and many times and nothing. I\’ll use it up as a soap. For me, of several solid shampoos I\’ve tried, this is the first such experience that I just can\’t wash it out of the hair.

I\’ve now been using it for a few weeks and have to admit that it makes my hair very clean, but it seems it doesn\’t suit my scalp at all, because unfortunately after washing when the hair and scalp are dry, white bits are visible on the scalp, sometimes more, sometimes less (the scalp goes dry) and a slight itch appears. I didn\’t notice this after a couple of washes, but now after a few weeks unfortunately this problem has appeared. I\’d really like to know what causes it, because I generally value natural products a lot and overall the hair stays clean for a long time with this solid shampoo.

Nicely scented, lathers well, but as with many other users, my hair also stays coated as if with wax when washing with this product, this soap doesn\’t suit untreated hair. Probably more of a product for lightened and dry hair. But I\’ll definitely try your other Nurme products too.

In theory it seems like the best thing in the world to wash your hair with, but unfortunately it doesn\’t work for me. I\’ve washed my head three times with this soap and no matter how long I lather or rinse, an unpleasant waxy layer stays on the hair that then collects on the comb and stays on your hands when you touch the hair. I can get the hair on the crown clean, but the back of the head and the hair length stay heavy and waxy even when I scrub and rinse properly. Maybe it suits people with short hairstyles. A plus point for the fact that my natural wave looked very nice in air-dried hair after using this shampoo.

Not happy at all, too expensive and no quality. Before buying I also looked for others\’ feedback, which was misleading. Lathers well, but it sort of doesn\’t come out of the hair. After rinsing the hair is tangled, very messy and dry. Very hard to comb, uses up more conditioner. After drying the hair is heavy, keeps close to the head. When combing the hair seems coated with some layer so the brush doesn\’t go through well. The hair doesn\’t stay clean longer. I\’ve tried three times and the same junk every time. I tried another brand\’s lemongrass solid shampoo and the result was completely the opposite: easy to rinse out, the hair stayed soft and light.
