Our bergamot essential oil is FCF or Furocoumarine Free. Furanocoumarins are compounds found in some plants that are produced by the plant to protect against insects, mould and other pests. In the human body, furanocoumarins can activate or deactivate some drugs. It is therefore best to avoid such compounds as much as possible.
